We have no strict dress code at Galway Racecourse, however it is advisable to dress appropriately for the weather with many racegoers opting for smart dress. Racing doesn’t happen every day, so why not treat your visit as a special occasion? For 2019, we host a Best Dressed Lady competition and Best Hat on Thursday 2nd August and a ‘Fair Lady’ competition on Friday 3rd August with fantastic prizes on offer. For families we host a Mad Hatters competition on Sunday 5th August, always a fun, colourful occasion where we encourage you to use your imagination!
